Tron: Ares

Tron: Ares is in a weird spot which says alot considering this is the Tron franchise. Jared Leto is fine in the role as Ares. He plays things very standard and straight man. The movie itself is an extension of what Tron Legacy put forth and yet at the same time feels self contained and its own movie. It creates a very confusing narrative where the film is clearly a continuation of a story set up from the 80’s movie and yet you don’t know what the long term narrative was. But hey, the soundtrack is fire and the visuals are still damn good.
