Clayface, much like the Penguin television show, proves that if you have a strong story that makes you care about the villain's plight then you will never ask "Hey, where's Batman?". Using the Matt Hagen iteration of Clayface gives us the perfect setup of watching a character delve into villainy in a such a way that its tragic much like the episodes of the character in Batman: The Animated series.
