Marked For Death

Steven Seagal killed a lot different POC. I mean a lot of POC! So it shouldn't be a huge surprise that he would be pitted versus the Jamaicans. Jamaicans with voodoo powers...SHUT UP! IT WAS THE 90'S!

The Five Heartbeats

Music biopics are a tricky thing. They all follow a standard narrative where at the end of the day its trying to show the musician in a positive light. Sure we'll see them stumble but its never too crazy. Five Heartbeats is a movie about a fictional group and while it does follow tropes of musical biopics, it does a phenomenal job of showing the characters vulnerabilities and it doesn't shy away from when the characters are at there lowest points. Packed with great acting from a who's who of black actors/actresses, this movie is definitely worth the watch.
